1849 Champion Ale

Buy Now

1849 – an iconic year for the brewing industry and now an iconic beer.

Joseph Holt’s 1849 is a dark, tempting best bitter brewed with a complex blend of choice malts and Golding hops. You’ll get an earthy, malty aroma that pours into a mahogany-amber ale. The body is refreshingly smooth with a slight nutty, toasted taste.

Winning a silver medal at the International Brewing Awards, this one’s got pedigree.

Steak, Pepper and Cheddar Ciabatta

Goes Well With

Steak, Pepper and Cheddar Ciabatta

Mmm beef fillet, onions and peppers topped with melted Cheddar and fresh red chilli with beer battered onion rings and skinny fries... this needs a darker ale to compliment the succulent tenders, mouth watering stuff.
