The Millhouse backs Luke Littler at the World Darts Championship
In a debut that stirred the world’s darts scene, Warrington’s very own Luke Littler, also dubbed as “The Nuke,” aimed to achieve the unthinkable – winning the World Darts Championship at the young age of 16. This feat, if accomplished, would have surpassed the record set by the legendary Michael Van Gerwen at the age of 24.
Although he couldn’t bring home the ultimate prize in darts, Luke captured millions of fans for his heroic display throughout the tournament, making the game look easy. On his journey to the final, Luke claimed a handful of records, including being the youngest finalist ever in the PDC history.
The Millstone in Warrington was supporting the local lad all the way, not only is he a local to our pub, he has a special connection as his older brother Leon works here as a bartender.
Despite Luke Humphries clinching the title, Luke Littler can hold his head high, knowing that future opportunities for glory await. The Millstone and the Warrington fans are thrilled with his performance, and he has truly done himself and the area proud.
