We’re thrilled to present an opportunity for a dynamic Retail Partner to fill the position at The Roebuck in Alkrington.
The Roebuck, located in Alkrington Garden Village, Middleton, is an exciting newly developed site for 2024, following a stunning £1m refurbishment. With a vibrant atmosphere and top-tier facilities, the pub boasts both front and rear beer gardens, along with Sky and TNT Sports, making it a go-to destination for socializing and live entertainment. Trading at £30k-£40k per week, with even higher seasonal peaks, The Roebuck operates on a 65/35 wet-to-food split and features a fantastic Evolution menu set to undergo further enhancements in the coming months.
This is a premium, high-volume site within the Joseph Holt estate, and we’re seeking an operator with proven experience managing a successful wet/food venue to continue driving its growth and success. With over 175 years of brewing expertise under our belts, Joseph Holt prides itself on brewing the perfect pint, and we’re seeking an energetic General Manager/Retail Partner to champion our beer.
In this role, you won’t just be managing a team; you’ll be curating unforgettable experiences that place your pub at the heart of the community. From hosting entertainment to organising charitable events, you’ll be the driving force behind fostering connections and driving both sales and profits.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operator (single or couple) who have a proven sales building background, high standards and a passion for Joseph Holt beer and pubs.
Interested? Here’s what we need from you
· Previous experience operating £35k+ sales each week
· Previous Management experience in the hospitality industry
· The successful applicant(s) will need to manage a large team and ensure that their business is at the heart of the local community, with innovative entertainment and charitable events.
· Passionate about pubs and selling beer
· Strong sales and standards focus is essential
· Enthusiasm to lead and motivate your team
· Experience in operating a high volume wet/food led business is essential
